A meeting of representatives of the Commonwealth Associated organizations will take place on 14^th May, 2015 in London. The meeting convened by the Commonwealth Secretary General Mr  Kamalesh Sharma will be a follow up to various consultative engagements that the Commonwealth Secretariat has been having with these Organizations with a view to discussing strategic areas of collaboration and partnership.

The current Strategic Plan of the Commonwealth Secretariat places great emphasis on collaboration between the Secretariat and the Associated Organizations in order to enhance impact, profile and coherence of the Secretariat in delivering its mandate to members. This is premised on the realization that these Organizations have expertise in their respective areas of deliveries which may complement the work done by the Secretariat thus ensuring effective use of resources.

Participants will therefore be discussing the framework of collaboration with the Secretariat including the participation of these Organizations in future Commonwealth Ministerial meetings. Members will also receive a briefing from the Secretariat on the status of preparations ahead of the forthcoming Commonwealth Heads of States and Government Meeting (CHOGM) scheduled for November, 2015.
