Working to Serve Canadians Better at the Canada Revenue Agency
Country Correspondent - Mark Conrod
The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) takes pride in providing Canadians with good taxpayer service. To help ensure that we continue to provide the best possible service, the CRA held a
series of public consultations in six cities across Canada, from May 2-June 4, 2019, to ask Canadians what we can do to improve.
The findings of the consultations highlighted the positive experiences that Canadians experience when dealing with the CRA. Notably, participants commented favourably on the ease of accessing their personal information and filing their tax returns online. Participants also spoke of ways in which they think the CRA could serve them better. Based on the results of the public consultations, the CRA is developing a People First approach to taxpayer service. By putting people’s needs at the center of everything we do, we create a better experience for those we serve.
