United Kingdom: UK introduces Plastic Packaging Tax

The UK’s HMRC has issued further guidelines on the implementation of the Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) that came into effect on 1st April this year. The tax applies to any business that manufactures plastic packaging in the UK or imports empty or filled plastic packaging where the individual components of the packaging contain less than 30% recycled content.
